The newly completed Ladder truck left Synder, Nebraska on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 and arrived at New England Equipment and Fire Apparatus located in North Haven, Connecticut on Saturday. On Monday, February 15th a number of department personnel with new equipment for the truck drove to North Haven. As part of the agreement, our 1983 American LaFrance ladder was also driven to the dealer as a trade in.

Change orders including the punch list created during the final inspection were reviewed to ensure compliance. Equipment delivered to the fire station meet up equipment from the factory were inventoried and equipment placement began. Once all equipment location decisions have been made, the dealer will be mounting all equipment in preparation for delivery.

In preparation for the decommision of our 1983 American LaFrance Ladder, a Company photograph was taken on Sunday, February 14, 2010. This apparatus has proudly served the Town of Spencer and provided mutual aid since March 1983. The truck has fought many fires during it's 27 year tenure and has been a valuable asset to the fleet.
