FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Spencer Fire Department Announces Internet Presence.
The
Spencer Fire Department is excited and proud to announce the introduction of it's website
on the Internet. The website is designed to provide the citizens of our community some
insight to the department and to provide important information. With the ever-increasing
use of computers and the Internet to provide information, this is a great avenue to
provide information on our services and activities to citizens. The information is
available to the public 24hrs per day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. Photos
of our apparatus, recent incidents and fire prevention activities can be viewed. The
departments call activities are listed as well as the current training schedule.
Citizens can also review the current fee schedule as well as the regulations
for open burning. There is also a section for fire department members to receive the
latest information including prototype online training programs. Firefighters can
participate in this online training at the time that is most convenient for them. Fire
Prevention is an extremely important part of our departments activities today.
The easiest fire to fight is the one that never starts. This can be accomplished by good
prevention practices by the community. Providing information to our citizens on many
aspects of fire safety and education is a big step in that direction. Information can
be found for children, families and seniors including links to the Massachusetts
Department of Fire Services and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. We
look forward to keeping the website updated with current information that can assist our
citizens and to provide information that explains our activity.
